Acetaminophen (Tylenol) may be given every 4 hours to infants greater than 3 months. Under 3 months please consult your physician prior to giving any medication.

Benadryl (diphenhydramine) should only be given to children over 6 months.  It may be given every 6 hours.

Nasal Saline Recipe

8 oz. water ¼ tsp. Salt Put drops of the solution in each side of your child’s nose.  Wait 1 minute then suction with a nasal aspirator. You may use the nose drops as often as needed.  This is a soothing nose drop and is not addictive.  Fresh nose drops should be made every 2 days.

1-800-222-1222 CELL:  1-800-451-1428 (BLUE RIDGE POISON CENTER) Do not hesitate calling the poison center.  A poison is anything that makes a child sick.  Poisons can range from cosmetics to plants and pesticides.  The poison control center is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week.  They can often help and prevent you from going to the ER or doctors office.
